Bignor Weed & Wildflower Festival
Saturday 2nd July - Sunday 3rd July 2011

A truly unique, eclectic event based in and around the very picturesque
Bignor Church.

The Bignor Weed & Wildflower Festival is fast becoming a nationally recognised event for its unique formula that links the countryside with some astounding displays, music, and much more - from wild food cookery to art master classes, a wide range of crafts, and herbalism too.

Heritage Conservation is helping to create a woodland scene in the church, as well as a show of fire in the evening using extra large log candles - providing a dramatic backdrop for the fire-juggling, fire-eaters, music, and medieval happenings! We will also have a trade stand behind the church displaying our rustic furniture, coppice products, and charcoal pits, etc.

Hampton Court Flower ShowHampton Court Flower Show 2010
– Silver Gilt Medal winner

Together with the garden designer Marianne K Ali, Tim Ricketts of The Plant co. and landscape gardener Chris Holland, we helped to create a medal winning show garden at Hampton Court Flower Show last year.

The garden was titled "It's Only Natural" and consisted of three interlocking circles made entirely of natural materials. If the garden was left unattended, it would be reclaimed by nature.

Hampton Court Flower ShowThe design included three large curved woven Hazel fence panels made by Wildwood Coppice Products of West Dean. The Hazel withies by Rosie Rendell (top-right) provided a nice detail to the path edging.

Heritage Conservation supplied the log bench (bottom-right), the unique Chestnut posts with hand-carved tops, and the sawn Chestnut path edging.

After the show, the entire garden was dismantled and then rebuilt in the grounds of Sedgwick Park House near Horsham.

Heritage Conservation was involved in both the sourcing and constructing of all of the woody elements of the show garden.
